The daily FLHA workflow, end to end

Every regulated safety program requires a daily documented hazard assessment tied to the specific activities, site conditions, and workers on-site that day. Done on paper, it eats a foreman's morning and produces a binder no one reads. Done in WorkSafe, it's a 30-second flow with the audit trail generated as a byproduct.

Morning — site lead

1. Opens the project in WorkSafe from the WorkSkedge task inbox or the All Projects page.
2. Taps Create FLHA. WorkSafe pre-populates standing hazards, safety rep, project-required certs, and any triggered custom forms.
3. Adds today's activities and any additional hazards. For each hazard, required controls auto-load from the catalog.
4. Marks each control as either Checked (lead confirms in place) or Assigned to a specific worker.
5. Confirms the expected crew.

Morning — workers

1. Scan the site QR posted on the fence, trailer, or vehicle.
2. Search for their name (fuzzy search against the roster). Unmatched names are entered manually.
3. If any required cert is expired, they see an alert; the lead is notified in real-time.
4. Review standing hazards, activity hazards, and controls.
5. Sign; GPS is captured. Sign-in submits — or queues locally if offline.

Throughout the day — assigned controls

• Workers see their assigned controls in My Tasks.
• They mark each one complete with optional photo evidence.
• Completions push through to the lead's summary in real time.

Incident or hazard reported

Any user can tap Report Incident from the header, project page, or QR portal. Incidents are classified against your per-company type list; the WCB-reportable flag is set if applicable; and the notification engine dispatches emails and WorkSkedge tasks per company config. Corrective actions are created and assigned from the same flow.

End of day — site lead

1. Confirms all controls are checked, completed, or explicitly acknowledged.
2. Closes the FLHA.
3. If configured, WorkSafe emails the FLHA PDF at the scheduled time.
4. The safety rep's daily FLHA WorkSkedge task auto-completes.

Next day

• New FLHA (duplicates for the same site and day are automatically prevented).
• Standing hazards and safety rep re-inject from the site plan.
• Yesterday's open corrective actions carry over to today's summary.
